I love to cultivate creative spaces for people who don’t often allow themselves the freedom to express. I love bringing art into unexpected places.
And most of all, I love the light in a person’s eyes when they feel the deeper connection that only creativity can bring about.
I have over 15 years of experience teaching creative classes that heal, enliven, and create community and connection.
I have taught both visual arts and crafts, and inspirational writing and poetry workshops to students of all ages, and classes that combine visual arts and crafts and writing. I also teach creative healing classes that help artists and creatives remove blockages to success by releasing limiting beliefs and befriending the inner critic.
My classes are all trauma informed and grounded in 20 years of healing work and psychological study. My classes are all safe spaces for exploration, connection, and inspiration.
To me, all art IS medicine.
I have worked with everyone from babies who were learning to hold their first paintbrushes, to adults with dementia whom I used art with to help the process their lives and retain fine motor skills for as long as possible. From business executives who buried their creativity deep down in their subconscious minds, to artists who just needed a safe space to process and release their creative blocks.
I singlehandedly created the Santa Fe Poetry Incubator for blocked and beginning writers that ran for 16 months.

Canvas and Cocktail Events for Adults
These types of classes are always an absolute blast to teach. For complete beginners or those with experience painting, these events are 2 hours long and include ALL SUPPLIES.

Children’s + Teens Art Parties and Classes
Children’s art parties and classes are always customizable, educational, fun, and age-appropriate. 1 – 2 hours long and include ALL SUPPLIES.
Examples of Projects for Children:
Desert landscape painting with sponge stamps (acrylic paint)
Musical “sound painting” with guitar stencils (watercolor, oil pastel, and crayon resist)
Butterfly Alchemy with butterfly stencils and nature/pattern stencils (watercolor, oil pastel, colored pencil, glitter, copper foil)
Private Art Classes for Adults
I have years of experience teaching adults how to draw and paint! We can start with the basics, if you’re a beginner, or I can meet you where you’re at. Topics include: color theory, composition, design, and drawing.
